Traveling the World from Home

Updated: Sep 24, 2021

It has been over a year of pandemic now, and for some, it is still not over...

During all this time, trips were postponed, cancelled or not even considered, because we simply could not travel around. Although some countries were still open for tourists, other had their borders closed.

So, after all this time, if you too, are still at home, not necessarily on a daily basis, but not traveling at all, this post is here to help you go around the world from the safety of your place.

You can start by ordering or cooking some food from somewhere far away. Have you tried arabic, italian, chinese, brazilian and more food? They can be so good! And it is a way to get in touch with something from other cultures.

You can also read books or watch movies that show another country, like Midnight in Paris to see France, First They Killed My Father to see Cambodia, Lion to see Australia and sooooo much more!

Did you know there are websites that show you live cameras from different cities around the world??? You can watch EarthCam , Skyline , WorldCams , Baltic Live Cams and more!

Visit museums around the world with 360° cameras, like the Vatican, in Rome; Anne Frank's House, in Amsterdam; Galeria Uffizi, in Florence; Masp, in São Paulo; Natural History, in Washington; La Casa Azul, in Mexico and a lot more, you just have to look for it.

Last, but not least, my personal favorite. Online you can visit the 7 Wonders of The World, how cool is that?

The Wall of China - here and here

Chichén Itzá - here

Rome Colosseum - here

Taj Mahal - here

Machu Pichu - here and here

Christ Redeemer - here and here

Petra - here

Now that you know a few different ways to explore the world from your home, what are you waiting for?

Like, comment and share with your friends that love to travel, too!
